Get Ready for Art Fight in July!!

Art Fight 2026 is just a little over a week away, and the excitement is building. After spending so much time on serious projects, it’s refreshing to dive into something purely fun and creative. The teams have been revealed and I'm just excited to see how this turns out as this year is a three-way battle!!

- What Is Art Fight? -

Art Fight is an online event where artists create various of art based on characters submitted by other participants. It’s a friendly competition that encourages creativity, community, and collaboration. The event usually runs for a few weeks in July, during which artists “attack” and “defend” characters by drawing them.

The goal is simple: create as many artworks as you can for characters on the opposing team while defending your own characters by encouraging others to draw them. It’s a unique way to connect with other artists, discover new styles, and challenge your skills.

- How Art Fight Works -

-- Teams and Characters

This year, Art Fight is having a three-way fight! Participants join one of three teams, usually named something fun and thematic. Each artist submits original characters or fan characters to their team’s pool, and these characters become targets for the opposing team to draw.

-- Attacking and Defending

Attacking means drawing a character from the opposing team. Each attack earns points.
Defending means submitting your own characters and encouraging others to draw them. Defended characters earn points for your team when drawn.

-- Points and Rankings

Points are awarded based on the number of attacks and defenses. The team with the most points at the end of the event wins. Individual artists can also earn badges and recognition for their contributions.

- Art Fight Team Card -

This year, I'm on Team Mystery and my characters are mainly Creatures and Anthro. I intend to "attack" with traditional arts via Copic Markers and Ink! Get your ink and pen ready! It's time to fight!!
